I am...

your fantasy, dream lover, white knight and fair prince
I am the guy mothers love and daddies respect
they teach you to love me
tell you tales about me
how i saved the poor princess
slayed so many beasts
I am the poet that writes to you
the singer who serenades
I am the painter who captures you
puts your beauty on a page
I am the perfect man...

but the truth is
cinderella dont love me
cus i love her too much
she thinks that i'm soft
cus I'm slow with my touch
I'm not angry or borish
I am slow to respond
to ignorant sparring
i use full words when i talk

see, the truth is that you
you like the idea of me
but you'd rather be captive
by my enemies
